Paper on paper 2
The works are painted with paper. They are old papers from different places, each of them with
its own history and a particular sentimental value. Through a slow and laborious process
of creation, they change shape, structure and function. These are stratified works, where the gesture
of removing, of digging to reach the original weft prevails. And then, the work is looking for
a balance between thin and thick, visible and hidden, accurate and vague, unexpected and thoughtful.
I fogli sono dipinti con la carta. Sono vecchie carte provenienti da luoghi diversi, ciascuna con
una storia e un particolare valore affettivo. Attraverso un lento e laborioso processo
di creazione, mutano di forma, struttura e funzione. Si tratta di opere stratificate, dove prevale
il gesto di sottrarre, di scavare fino alle trame originali. Inoltre, Il lavoro è alla ricerca di
un equilibrio tra sottile e spesso, visibile e nascosto, preciso e vago, imprevisto e pensato.
